Preparing today’s new leaders for tomorrow’s challenges
The purpose of the LBCC Public Safety Leadership Institute is to prepare new leaders within public safety agencies with additional skills and knowledge to be senior leaders in your agency.
The LBCC Public Safety Leadership Institute is:
- Focusing on the up-and-coming leaders within your organization
- Filling a leadership education gap in Oregon
- Challenging participants to excel
- Providing a faculty that brings a blend of knowledge about local issues, public safety experience, and skills in leadership education
- A high quality local solution that effectively leverages your training dollars
- Experience in leadership roles within your agency
- Commitment to the coursework (reading and projects) required outside class time
- Desire to be an influential leader within public safety
- Written support from the Chief or Sheriff
To Apply:
Completion of application (includes an essay to be written by the prospective student) and in-person or phone interview.
Faculty:
The faculty will pull upon experienced public safety leaders and experts in leadership education.
Cost:
$750 plus materials.
