New Student

Coming to college for the first time and seeking a degree or certificate.  No college credits to transfer in.  

Step 1:


Apply online or print the pdf version.

Submit only one application.  You do not need to submit an application if you have ever submitted one, or if you are an           

OSU/LBCC Degree Partnership Program (DPP) student.  Call 541-917-4811 with questions.

Step 2:

Complete Placement Tests

Prepare for and then schedule your placement tests, available at multiple locations.

Step 3:

Apply for Financial Aid

Fill out the free FAFSA at

Explore Financial Aid and search for Scholarships

Step 4:

If you have a documented disability, register with the Center for Accessibility Resources

Visit the Center for Accessibility Resources website and click on How to Get Started

Step 5:

Information for Veterans

Submit your DD 214 to Admisisons and Regisration to recieve credit for PE 231 and have your SMART or AART transcripts

sent to LBCC and let us know they are coming by complete this form.

Step 6:

RoadRunner Entry

After you have completed the admissions process, your last step will be to complete RoadRunner Entry, and to sign up for a New Student Registration Session.  RoadRunner Entry is a series of tutorials that helps you get ready to start school at Linn-Benton Community College.  Prior to the  start of the term, you will be contacted by Admissions to let you know when to start. After you view the tutorials, you will sign up for your New Student Registration Session which is where you will meet with someone that will help you register for your classes.

After you apply, you will receive a letter about your scheduled orientation. Expect this letter towards the end of the term before you begin.

  • Submit only one Application for Admission. You do not need to complete an application if you have ever submitted one (paper or electronic) to LBCC (even if it was 40 years ago), or if you are a LBCC/OSU Degree Partnership Program (DPP) student. If you have any questions, please call Admissions at 541-917-4811.
  • Important: When you complete your application, please enter correct information (e.g. no nicknames or incorrect dates of birth). Incorrect information on your application may delay your financial aid process.
  • The Admission Application fee is $30. Application fees are non-refundable.
