The Periwinkle Child Development Center is a large state-of-the-art child care center
located on the campus of the Linn Benton Community College. The PCDC was designed to
allow children easy access to materials indoors and out, and to enable children to learn
and grow at their own pace. Some of the special features of our facility include:
- spacious, well-equipped classrooms with direct access to the outdoor play area
- a large outdoor play area that includes covered areas with both commercial play
equipment and natural environments (including sand, water, and a garden)
- convenient, safe location (close to I-5, 99E and Rte 34 - yet tucked away on a quiet
corner of the LBCC campus away from traffic)
- easy access to LBCC campus resources; children enrolled in the PCDC take frequent
on-campus field trips to cultural exhibits, theater productions, LBCC classrooms and labs,
the track, and the Activities Center
- parent observation rooms with one-way glass so parents can watch their children
"in action" at school
- comfortable adult "living room" where parents can meet and talk
