The PCDC staff is made up of highly skilled and experienced professional teachers. All
Lead Teachers have a BA or a Master's degree, and all Associate Teachers have a BA or an
AA degree. The Coordinator has two Master's degrees and 20 years' experience in the field
of Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Each year they are trained in child CPR
and first aid, the handling of bloodborne pathogens, and recognizing child abuse.
In addition, they attend conferences and in-service training to keep up to date on the
latest research concerning young children. Most are members of the National Association
for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and/or Stand for Children.
In addition, LBCC students majoring in education also work in our classrooms. They work
alongside our professional teachers, providing fun enrichment activities and lots of
special attention for each child.
