LBCC offers an online for Nursing Assistant Level 1 students. To be eligible for this Nursing Assistant course all applicants must have a high school diploma or GED; unless otherwise specified. Students under the age of 18 may apply for this course. This is a Special Admission restricted enrollment program with a maximum of 20 students and 2 Alternates selected per class.
This course includes 53.02 hours of online instruction in basic nursing assistant skills, restorative care, personal care skills and patient rights with the guidance of a certified LBCC Nursing Assistant Instructor. Students will learn to care for residents in a long term care environment or patients in an acute care setting by completing 27 hours of skills lab training and 75 hours of clinical work with one of our approved clinical settings. Our course gives our students an excellent start in the health career field.
Students must complete an application to be considered for the course.
Upon acceptance to the program students are required to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
