CASE (Credential Acceleration and Support for Employment) is a government grant from the Department of Labor.  All 17 community colleges in the state of Oregon receive special funds to provide enhanced services focused on student enrollment, completion, credential attainment, and employment.  CASE eligible students can receive services free of charge.

Services CASE students can receive:

--A list of potential employers that hire people with your certificate or degree.

--Access to Career Connections, LBCC's student employment database where you can be connected to employers in Oregon and nationwide.

--Workshops in creating resumes and cover letters and opportunities to practice interviews.

--Soft Skills trainings.  Soft skills are transferrable skills such as learning professionalism, and effective communication.  80% of applicants are hired because they can demonstrate soft skills in an interview.
